About The Process

Our
Story
This game started as a project for CSDS 390 - Advanced Game Development at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art.

Teams of 11 were made in the course that consisted of 8 programmers and 3 artists with meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. Our team also held additional meetings on Sundays and Tuesday evenings of each week.

Our group had about 4 months to create a game from scratch with no prompt. All elements of the game had to be original/custom and have all members contribute to the final project. Each group member put in a minimum of 3 hours of work per week to contribute to this project.

After concept and planning meetings, our game went through 11 milestone stages:
-
Concept Stage
-
Sandbox Stage
-
Most Viable Product 1
-
Most Viable Product 2
-
Most Viable Product 3
-
Content Integration 1
-
Content Integration 2
-
Playtesting Stage
-
Bug Stabilization Stage
-
Pre-Final Stage
-
Final Publication

We also decided to divide our team into subgroups to allow members to work where it suited their strengths and to avoid losing track of work:
-
Puzzle Team
-
Art Team
-
Music Team
-
Environment Team
-
Effects Team
