Warning Signs
This was an initial project for CSDS 290 (Introduction to Game Design) and is a text adventure built using block coding in a text adventure web browser engine. Unfortunately, this text adventure is no longer available for play.
In CSDS 290, Introduction to Computer Game Design and Implementation, teams of 4 were instructed to create an original text adventure game using Quest Engine. Our team created "Warning Signs," a puzzle adventure where players control Gary, who is a NASA engineer suffering from a gas leak in his home. As the player, you take on the persona of a confused and disoriented Gary who doesn't know why he is feeling so unwell. By solving a series of puzzles, you must stop the gas leak so that Gary doesn't go insane and he can return to work and finish his work on a space mission. The game is designed with comedy and a strong narrative at its center. My specific contributions include the initial game structure, structuring the rooms in the game engine, creating keys and their functionality, creating the bedroom and its functionality, creating the main office functionality, creating the mailbox functionality, grammar editing on the script, script implementation, producing the game soundtrack, recruiting playtesters, debugging, and editing the game documentation (Scoring/Progress, Game Style, Puzzles, Playtesting).

Game Background Music
For the mini group project of creating a text adventure, I created original background music for the game to emanate a confused and mysterious vibe. This was a fun, short composition that allowed me to explore a level of playfulness and curiosity through soundtrack production and cello performance.
